Citizenship Grades

All classes, including Advisory, give Citizenship grades to students.  Since class grades come from academic performance on Idaho Core Standards, teachers communicate students' class behavior with these Citizenship grades on progress reports:

4--Exceeds expectations. A score of 4 should only be used for those students who truly exceed expectations on a consistent basis.

3--Consistently meets expectations. A score of 3 communicates that a student takes initiative, demonstrates accountability, and has positive interactions. This is a student who is conscientious about meeting expectations on a regular basis. Students should strive to receive a score of 3.

2--Occasionally meets expectations. A score of 2 communicates that a student sometimes demonstrates the following: takes initiative, demonstrates accountability, or has positive interactions. These behaviors are not consistent and could be described as “doing just enough.”

1--Rarely meets expectations. A score of 1 communicates that a student rarely demonstrates the following: takes initiative, demonstrates accountability, or has positive interactions. This is a student who is intentionally avoiding learning. Many learning tasks are missing, forgotten, or not attempted. A student may be compliant when prompted.
