Welcome!

Hi! My name is Jason Tarter, and I am the 7th grade math teacher for the 7-2 hallway. Teaching is my second career, having spent most of my first career in the financial and telecom industries.  In every position I have had the opportunity to serve I have always been a teacher, innovator, and coach.  Through those opportunities I have had the wonderful privilege to work with both children and adults, learn multiple management and learning styles, as well as develop learning programs.  As a parent of three children, myself, I have found the age group I really enjoy working with is middle school.  

 

When outside of school, my family and I love to hike, golf, raft, and travel.  We have enjoyed the opportunity to travel outside the United States and to many states within the US.  Recently we have enjoyed visiting National Parks and monuments in our neighboring states.  This started as a onetime experience and evolved into an annual adventure where my kids help me plan the destinations for the year.  Of all the places we travel, we always enjoy returning home to Idaho!  Life is an amazing adventure, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share in the adventure of your student's learning journey!
