Reading Volunteers Needed!
Our 6th grade Language Arts teachers are seeking volunteers to help students practice essential reading skills. Volunteers will work one on one with 6th grade students who have been identified as needing additional practice on basic reading skills, grammar, and comprehension strategies using mini-lessons and activities prepared by the teacher.
If you are interested in supporting this endeavor, please sign up below using our volunteer request form! Volunteers may sign up for more than one time slot if desired.
Prior to your beginning volunteer work, all volunteers must have a background check completed through Lone Star's attendance office. To complete this step, simply bring in a state-issued ID at least 24 hours prior to your volunteer time. This process should take no more than 15 minutes. Thank you for your support and we look forward to partnering with you!

Hello parents! We have had a great start to the school year with parent volunteers to support 6th grade reading students. During conferences this week, please feel free to ask your child's Language Arts teacher about how to get involved with this initiative if you are interested. There are plenty of open volunteer spots in the coming weeks to choose from. We appreciate all you do and thank you for your support of our 6th grade students!
