Our school, Lone Star Middle School, raised over $3,330 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Pennies for Patients fundraiser, led by Mr Foster's seventh-grade leadership class. This campaign was held March 7-21, 2019. The leadership class made posters, handed out materials, gave special announcements, and sold merchandise at lunch. Each advisory class competed to collect pennies over the two weeks. The winning advisory, Mr. Butler’s, won an Olive Garden pasta party for raising the most money. His class raised a total of $629. We worked hard and achieved our school goal of $3,000 or more, surpassing last year’s total of $2,200. All the money went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
