Welcome!

Hello! I'm Jason Tarter, a 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Lone Star. After a career in the financial and telecom industries, I've found my passion in teaching middle school students. My background as a teacher, innovator, and coach has given me valuable experience in developing educational programs and working with diverse learners.

Outside the classroom, my family and I love exploring the outdoors through activities like hiking, golfing, rafting, and traveling. Our annual adventures, often planned by my kids, focus on visiting National Parks and monuments. Despite our travels, we always enjoy coming home to Idaho.

I believe in empowering parents to support their children’s math journey at home and prioritize open communication to enhance student success. Together we can help provide the best options for students to develop study skills and become more proficient in math.  What an exciting adventure for us all this school year!
