Stampede Walkathon Fundraiser
We will be holding this year’s major school fundraiser on Thursday, October 16th – the Lone Star Stampede! This health-focused fundraiser will be in the form of a “walkathon”, with all students walking laps on October 16th. Funds raised go directly towards supporting Lone Star students in the form of equipment, supplies, technology updates, student field trips, and more.
Each advisory class has a goal of reaching $450 in donations (roughly $20 per student). Donations should be in a flat-rate amount (i.e. $5, $10, $20) and money should be collected at the time of donation in the form of cash or a check made out to Lone Star Middle School. Donations can also be made by credit card or Venmo in a student’s name by going to www.successfund.com/stampede2025. This will be the ONLY schoolwide fundraiser in which we ask for your donations for the school year! (Individual programs such as music, robotics, and cheer will still offer ongoing fundraising opportunities.)
We have an exciting afternoon planned for October 16th to reward students for their fundraising efforts. Students will have the opportunity to "spend" the laps they walk on activities like a dunk tank, pie-a-teacher, foam machine, snack table, and more! Students who raise money will also be entered into raffles and will help their advisory earn class rewards.
We are also currently seeking volunteers for the event to help us run stations and donate supplies. Please see the sign up below for more details.
Thank you for your support of Lone Star Middle School!
